Panasonic introduces the new VariCam 3700 P2 HD camcorder, which is the flagship model of the VariCam HD series. The VariCam 3700(model AJ-HPX3700) comes with a 23-inch 2.2 megapixel 3CCD image sensor that can capture full HD 1920×1080 images.
The VariCam 3700 supports a 4:4:4 RGB dual-link live output to deliver pristine images ideal for composition of visual effects even while recording. It can records in full-raster 1920×1080 resolution in AVC-intra 100, and records in AVC-Intra 50 and DVCPRO HD as well.

Sony introduces the new PMW-EX3, a professional Full HD camcorder, at the NAB. Comes with the support for SxS flash storage, the PMW-EX3 has 0.5-inch 3CCD sensor and it supports XDCAM HD EX recording, HS-SDI output and 24p.

Sanyo introduces a new member of its Xacti digital camcorder lineup, the DMX-CA8 that is a waterproof camcorder. Sanyo Xacti DMX-CA8 is equipped with a 1/2.5-inch 8 megapixel image sensor, 5x optical zoom lens and a 2.5-inch LCD display.
The JIS IPX5/IPX8 qualified CA8 records video clips in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264Â compression profile.
The water resistant camcorder comes with also 12x digital zoom, an ISO rating up to 1600, support for Face Chaser, and digital image stabilization.

Panasonic will launch in May Lumix DMC-FX500 digital camera, which is Panasonic’s first touch screen digital camera. Equipped with a 10 megapixel image sensor, the DMC-FX500 offers a Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens with 25mm ultra wide angle and 4x optical zoom. FX500 features also MEGA O.I.S, ISO up to 1600, Intelligent ISO control, a 3-inch LCD touchscreen.
The new Lumix is capable in recording 1280×720 video at 30fps. It comes with 27MB internal storage and has a SD/SDHC card slot.
Panasonic introduces Lumix TZ50 digital camera with WiFi connectivity, like the Nikon S52c. TZ50 is an update to the Lumix TZ5. TZ50 comes with a 9 megapixel image sensor, DC VARIO-ELMAR lens with 10x zoom, 28mm wide angle, 1600 ISO and a 3-inch LCD screen.
The WiFi-enabled TZ50 has 50MB internal memory while it supports also SD/SDHC memory cards.
