Samsung introduces also the TL9 (known as the NV9 in Europe) digital camera. Like the NV4 and i100, the TL9 is a digicam with PMP/MP3 capability. It is a 10 megapixel camera with 5x optical zoom, dual image stabilization (Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Digital Image Stabilization (DIS), ISO up to 1600, Face detection and Blink detection.

The TL9/NV9 is able to record SVGA (800×592) MPEG-4 videos.

Samsung announced the new TL34HD (also known as the NV34HD in the Europe market) digital camera, which is the successor of the NV24HD. The Samsung TL34HD features a 14.7 megapixel image sensor, a Schneider lens with 3.6x optical zoom and 28mm wide angle, dual image stabilization and a 3-inch LCD display.

The TL34HD is able t o capture 720p movie. It comes with Samsung’s next generation Smart Touch 2.0 user interface, which further simplifies the way users navigate through the camera’s comprehensive feature set.

Samsung introduces the new YouTube-friendly SC-MX20 camcorder that has 34x optical zoom. Samsung SC-MX20 has a 680K pixel CCD image sensor which is capable in capturing 720×480 videos, and the powerful Schneider 34x optical zoom lens. You can also get the advanced noise reduction (3-D Noise Reduction), Advanced Image Stabilization and Face Detection.

The camcorder comes with a 2.7-inch LCD screen and it has a special YouTube mode that can videos for uploading to YouTube. Samsung SC-MX20 record videos in H.264 codec and store videos in SD, SDHC (up to 32GB) and MMC+ cards.

Samsung NV40 is a 10.5 megapixel digital camera with a Schneider Lens, up to 5x digital zoom and ISO 3200 sensitivity. The NV40 features OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) and DIS(Digital Image Stabilization), a 2.5-inch LCD display, 20MB built-in memory and a SD/SDHC memory card slot.

The NV40 represents a further refinement of Samsung’s radical approach to the compact camera market, but it’s not exactly a massive leap forward, being very similar to the previous NV20 model. The notable changes are a decrease in resolution to 10.5 megapixels, which must be the first time that’s ever happened, true mechanical image stabilisation, Auto Contrast Balance function, Self portrait mode and a Photo Style Selector. None of these are really earth-shattering additions, except for the image stabilisation, which is very welcome even on a camera with just a 3x zoom lens.

Samsung SC-HMX20C is a flash based 1080p Full HD camcorder with 8GB internal flash storage. It features a 6.4 megapixel sensor, 10x optical zoom as well as 100x digital zoom. The SC-HMX20C can record 1920×1080 Full HD at 30 frames per second with H.264 codec. It supports also SDHC and MMC+ memory cards in addition to internal storage.
