Sony offers a new Handycam, the HDR-CX12 that features the Smile Shutter technology. Sony HDR-CX12 is the world’s first digital camcorder to feature the Smile Shutter technology.

The Sony HDR-CX12 has a ClearVid CMOS sensor that can record 1920×1080 Full HD video or capture 10 Megapixel still images. The CX12 comes with a a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T*  lens offering 12x optical zoom.

It is equipped with Sony’s BIONZ imaging processor, and has Sony’s Super SteadyShot optical image stabilization. There is also a 2.7-inch LCD display.

The camcorder accepts Memory Stick PRO Duo media and any Memory Stick PRO Duo (Mark2) media cards.

Sony introduces the new PMW-EX3, a professional Full HD camcorder, at the NAB. Comes with the support for SxS flash storage, the PMW-EX3 has 0.5-inch 3CCD sensor and it supports XDCAM HD EX recording, HS-SDI output and 24p.

While Panasonic’s SD9 is the smallest 3CCD HD camcorder, Sony HDR-TG1 (aka TG3E in the UK) Handycam claims to be the smallest Full HD camcorder. Sony HDR-TG1 features a 4 Megapixel image sensor, which can record Full HD 1920×1080 videos, 10x zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 5.1 Dolby Digital, BIONZ image processor and a 2.7-inch LCD display. THe device supports Memory Stick Pro Duo Mark2 card.

Sony introduces a new ultra zoom digital camera, Cyber-Shot DSC-H50. DSC-H50 is a 9 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 15x zoom lens, 2x digital zoom, ISO up to 3200, SteadyShot Image Stabilization, and Burst mode.

The camera supports also in-camer photo editing. It can capture 640×480 video at 30fps. The camera has 15MB internal storage and supports Memory Stick DUO PRO. The camera will be available in 7 May for $399.99. It is now available for pre-order.

This is Sony’s latest Cyber-Shot DSC-W300 digital compact camera. In such as compact form factor, the Cyber-Shot DSC-W300 features 13.6 megapixel  Super HAD CCD image sensor, 3x zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 2x digital zoom, ISO up to 3200, Face Detection, and Super SteadyShot image stabilization.

The camera comes with Sony’s BINOZ image processor, and supports red-eye reduction. DSC-W300 has a 2.7-inch LCD display, 15MB internal memory, and a Memory Stick card slot. To be shipped in 7 May, the camera is now available for pre-order at Sony Style.
