Canon presents two new AVCHD digital camcorders, the iVIS HF11 and HG21. Both camcorders are equipped with a 3.31 megapixel Full HD CMOS sensor from Canon and 12x optical zoom lens. It offers also 40x digital zoom.

Both  HF11 & HG21 come with Canon’s DIGIV DV II image processor. They can capture 1920×1080 HD images in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 formats. HF11 and HG21 has a 32GB internal flash memory and 120GB hard drive respectively and they both get a 2.7-inch LCD screen.

Canon introduces a new digital SLR camera, the EOS 1000D, which also known as Rebel XS or Kiss F. The new EOS DSLR has a 10 megapixel sensor, and a bundled EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. It has a 2.5-inch LCD screen.

Powered by DIGIC III image processor, the 1000D/Rebel XS/Kiss F supports live view that allows users to preview image on the LCD display.

Canon introduces the XL H1S and XL H1A high definition digital camcorders. They have three 1/3 inch, 1.67 Megapixel CCD Image Sensors and Canon’s 20x HD video zoom lens and are powered by Canon’s DIGIC DVII HD Image Processor.

You can expected Canon’s XL interchangeable lens system and SuperRange optical image stabilization system.

Both camcorders have six-pin IEEE 1394 port and the XL H1S model provides expanded connectivity by incorporating HD-SDI (SMPTE 299M)/SD-SDI (SMPTE272M) output with embedded audio and time code, providing a raw, uncompressed 1.485 Gbps signal for demanding live production environments, SMPTE Time Code input and output terminals, and a Genlock output terminal for multi-camera shooting situations.

One of the three new Canon’s new cameras, PowerShot SD890 IS (IXY DIGITAL 820 IS) is the most advanced. It features a 10 megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. You can also find ISO sensitivity up to 1600, Face detection, motion detection and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.

The new SD890 is also powered by DIGIC III image sensor. It comes with a 2.5-inch LCD screen and has a memory card slot that supports SD, SDHC and MMC cards. The camera will be priced at $399.99.

Canon announced the new PowerShot SD790 IS (aka IXY DIGITAL 95 IS in Japan) compact digital camera. SD790 features 10 megapixel CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. It houses Canon’s DIGIC III image processor, and supprts face detection, motion detection for image stabilization.

The SD790 is capable in capturing 640×480 videos at 30fps. It has a 3-inch LCD display. SD, SDHC and MMC memory cards are supported. The retail price of the camera is around $349.99.
